Family Historian 7 had no Address records, so many people put the house and street into their place names to get a street-level geocode. Split Addresses from Places moves that detail into Family Historian 8 Address records and leaves a shorter place, without losing any data.
You choose the places and say how many columns, counting from the left, make up the address. Blank columns are kept where they are, and no blank address or place is ever created. Facts, sources, source-template fields and links in notes are all re-pointed. Places that end up with the same name are merged, and geocodes, notes and media go where you choose. Preview and Exit shows exactly what will happen before anything is changed, and Edit ▸ Undo Plugin Updates reverses a whole run.
