Introduction
This plugin supports most UK marriages. You can put in as much or as little information as you have available, depending on the age and source of your certificate. Only the ‘Principal’ and ‘Spouse’ sections need to be completed.
How to use
First set up your prepared citation. Then click on the Data Entry Assistant button and select “Record Marriage Data (UK)”. You can then enter the information you have, to create the facts contained in the marriage record.
Celebrant
The celebrant field is used to record the priest, vicar or registrar who performed the ceremony.
Principal
This is a mandatory section and needs to be completed.
Spouse
This is a mandatory section and needs to be completed.
Customising the Autotext Template
After running for the first time a new autotext template will be created in the custom/Record Marriage Data (UK) folder. This can be customised if you wish (choose ‘Manage Autotext’ on the Tools menu, and then choose ‘Autotext for Plugins’), but be careful that you do not change names of the template fields shown in curly brackets.
