This plugin provides “one-click” access to the separate Ancestral Sources application directly from within Family Historian, with the current project and individual pre-loaded.
Ancestral Sources is a popular utility, created by Family Historian user Nick Walker, that allows faster and more convenient creation of Census, Birth, Baptism, Marriage, Death and Burial/Cremation records. It is now distributed primarily through the Windows Store, rather than via the Family Historian User Group, and this plugin now fully supports the new Store versions,
Although Ancestral Sources is designed around Family Historian, it is a separate application and can be used independently of Family Historian if required.
No further menu selections are required or used by this launcher plugin, as it simply invokes Ancestral Sources for the active individual, then closes. If used frequently, it is recommended that the plugin be added to the Family Historian Tools window to give immediate one-click access to Ancestral Sources.
Ancestral Sources Launcher now supports extended desktops, so opens (when the menu is required) in the same monitor as the main Family Historian application.
