Keyword Update

Update Keywords for a selection of Media records.
Existing used keywords are shown alphabetically, with counts, and the user can add further keywords.
Then the user selects one or more keywords to be added to the selection of Media records, replacing any existing keywords on those records.
If the plugin was started without selecting the required Media records, the user is prompted to make a selection.
The updated records are displayed as a Result Set.

  1. This plugin replaces Version 1.3 but the Version History has gone missing and two description lines have unnecessary newlines after commas.

    • Version 1.3 sent to Bin (don’t know why it was kept after the update).
Version history was only in the Plugin code, now copied above as well.

I was looking for plugins (for a lecture that I am giving on Media in FH) but your one didn’t show up because it talks about multimedia rather than just media

FH uses that the term media which I assume is what most people will look for

  3. Is there anyway to Delete Keywords? That option in the Plugin would be fantastic. I’ve attempted to use Find, but I have many Keywords that I created, not knowing their filter functionality.

    • I’ve been abroad and have just seen your Comment:

I would use the Media option (camera with a down-arrow) to View All Media; you can then use the Keyword Filter to select one or more of your keywords. You will then see a list of those Media Records on which you have added the specified keyword(s). You can then select one or more of those records and right-click on it (or them) and select (from the pop-up) “Keywords…” and untick any keywords you want to remove from the selected record(s).
The keywords are stored only as part of the Media records; there is no separate list of keywords.
I can offer no further help, so I hope this is enough.
